Gahhh you don't know how excited I am that you're working on this! And yes, Bandit!Yamcha is such a delight; he's a devious little shit and I love him like that! I think you captured his personality perfectly. I am a little worried for Trunks, though for two reasons: 1)the poor thing hasn't been around other people his own age to know what to do in such situations (not that it isn't his fault) and he's gonna make such a fool of himself, and 2)he's gonna find out sooner or later that Yamcha tricked him again. And he still doesn't have shoes. The poor baby.

TBH, I only ship Future!Trunks/Yamcha as a one-sided crush on Trunks' end. In my mind, there's no way in hfil Yamcha would go for his ex's son, and to top it off he's too young. Of course, Trunks is probably experiencing his second(?) crush and still doesn't know how to behave, so it's awkward all around. This AU is the only way I can actually ship the two without feeling guilty. :P

(laughs) Yeah, this is the only way I can ship it, either. I'm glad you think I got Yamcha down - it's so fun to write him in this! ^^ Trunks is fun to write, too - he gets to be all cute and flustered and 'gotta save the world' and stuff. It's great.

I honestly don't generally see Future Trunks crushing on Yamcha, to be honest. I see him being rather hostile towards him, actually, since he's under the impression that Bulma and Yamcha broke up due to Yamcha's infidelity, thus he probably thinks of Yamcha as that unfaithful jerk who broke his mom's heart. In other words, he's got the wrong end of the stick about Yamcha as much as he does Vegeta. I like to think that, during Trunks' time in the past, they sorted things out, cleared up the miscommunications and inaccuracies, and parted on friendly terms. :)
